Located in Decatur, Ala., Brookhaven Middle School has an enrollment of more than 700 students in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes classes in hstory, geography, social studies, instructional technology, and family and consumer sciences. Brookhaven Middle School also offers a variety of academic programs in music, art, business studies, foreign language, science, mathematics and health education. Its athletics department offers sports activities, such as football, tennis, baseball, basketball and soccer. The school offers health screening, speech and music therapies, and counseling and intervention services. Brookhaven Middle School is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has won model school inclusion award by the Alabama Council of Developmental Disabilities.
