Alaska Airlines was founded in 1932 when Mac McGee started flying his three-seat Stinson plane between Anchorage and Bristol Bay, Alaska. The Alaska Airlines fleet of 102 Boeing 737s and Bombardier jets is one of the youngest among all major airlines, and its reputation for outstanding service consistently earns best U.S. airline recognition from the Travel + Leisure and Cond Nast Traveler magazines. Alaska Airlines is based in Seattle.
