Corning is a city in Clay County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 3,679 at the 2000 census. It is one of the two county seats of Clay County, along with Piggott.
Corning is located at 36°24′36″N 90°35′22″W / 36.41°N 90.58944°W / 36.41; -90.58944 (36.410057, -90.589364).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.4 km²), of which, 3.2 square miles (8.3 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.93%) is water. It is the main center of commerce for Clay County. It is a busy town despite its small size and it boasts some of the best industrial sites in north eastern Arkansas. It prides itself on its low crime and its good hospitality.
