Established in 1987, Hohokam Middle School is an educational institution that provides classes in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 700 students and has a guidance and counseling department. It also has a school council and parent-teacher association. The school organizes various after-school programs, such as substance abuse prevention, Native American tutoring, Amity Counseling and the Youth Plus Mural Project. It also operates several clubs, including Stand Proud Indian, Hispanic, computer, chess, art and travel.
