Established in 1998, Daytona Middle School has approximately 500 students and a staff of nearly 25 teachers. It serves students in grades six through eight. The school offers academic programs in mathematics, English, science, reading, literature and social studies. Daytona Middle School additionally conducts art, Spanish, band, choir, computer science and physical education classes. It has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country, baseball, softball, and track and field. In addition, the school offers Renaissance, which is a nationally recognized program that encourages high achievement in academics, improved attendance and positive citizenship. Daytona Middle School is located in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and is a part of Lake Havasu Unified School District 1.
