Woodruff Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, nonprofit cooperative that has been serving customers in Cross, Lee, Monroe, Phillips, Prairie, St. Francis and Woodruff counties in Arkansas since 1937. It has more than 12,000 members and operates over 4,500 miles of electrical distribution lines. The cooperative provides heat pumps, security lights and water heaters. Woodruff Electric Cooperative offers billing and surge protection services. Its member services include automatic bank draft, meter reading, outage reporting, online bill payment and capital credits. The cooperative operates under the jurisdiction of Arkansas Public Service Commission. Woodruff Electric Cooperative is a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas. It is a part of Touchstone Energy, which is an alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives throughout the United States.
