Wilson Elementary School serves more than 250 students in grades prekindergarten through five. Its curriculum includes reading and language arts, foreign languages, science, social studies and math. The school has received several grants, such as the Arkansas Comprehensive School Reform Grant, that has improved technology at the school computer lab. It has also received the Public School Foundation Grant to fund the accelerated reading program, Arkansas Reading First Grant to provide additional support to literacy program in grades kindergarten through three and the Early Childhood Grant to implement a second prekindergarten class. The school partners with Kroger No 632, UALR Share America and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Based in Little Rock, Ark., Wilson Elementary is named after former United States President, Woodrow Wilson.
