History

Originally Woody's Grill, Johnny B's Grill was founded in the 80's by John Burkland from Hooks, Texas. In 2012, the restaurant was purchased by Wendell and Sheila Crossland. In 2015, the Crosslands were contacted by former mayor of Texarkana, Mr. Bobby Ferguson asking that they come to Texarkana and open a restaurant. Not taking no for an answer, the Crosslands were persuaded to do so by Mr. Ferguson and the help and support of the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Texarkana.
