Founded in December 1993, CDMA Development Group is an international consortium of companies specializing in wireless telecommunication systems. Based in Costa Mesa, Calif., the company comprises service providers, infrastructure manufacturers, device suppliers, test equipment vendors, application developers and content providers. Its major services include strategic, technical and advocacy solutions to promote the growth and advancement of wireless technologies based on globally accepted open standards. The firm s members jointly define the technical requirements for the evolution of CDMA2000 and complementary 4-G systems. Some of its members are AkTel LLC, Bayan Telecommunications Inc., LG Electronics Inc., Motorola Mobility Inc. and Nokia Corporation.
