Berkeley Public Library: Claremont Branch

One of my local libraries that I love to visit as it's architecture is reminiscent of an old estate library with dark wood, comfy chairs and even a fireplace. I do wish the kids section was larger...

I'm at the library trying to read peacefully but I hear someone playing videos on their device -- What kind of rude patron would do this at a library? Oh it's an employee! The security guard!!...

2 nice fireplaces, but the small size along with the "noise-positive" messaging in the branch makes the romper-room afterschool scene pretty insufferable.

Great place to read and work! The building itself is charming, Staff at front desk is kind as well.

It's in a cute neighborhood with neighboring cafes and stores. It's super small, though. Probably the smallest library I've seen. Hahaha.
