The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, also known as NALEO, provides information on political participation of Latino community in the United States. It offers various training and educational programs for elected and appointed officials. The association provides leadership development and competency building programs for Latino school board members, community college trustees, state legislators and other elected officials. Its civic education program promotes and empowers people through naturalization, voter education, mobilization and advocacy. The association provides a forum to policymakers for discussion on local, state and federal education policies, research and developments.
