The organization was established in 1989, and provides health care services to children and families. The organization offers various programs, such as respite care, family preservation, kinship services and the OreMi Mentoring program. The respite program of the organization supports parents and other caregivers by offering intermittent child care. It serves birth and adoptive parents and children who are sexually abused, suffering from developmental disabilities, and affected by HIV and AIDS. The program has served more than 800 families. The organization s OreMi Mentoring program is a preventative and mentoring project for children. It helps in breaking the intergenerational cycle of crime and incarceration by providing youth with one-to-one mentors, enriching group activities and linkages to community resources.
