The Shasta County Office of Education supports Project SHARE (Shasta, Health, Academic and Recreation Enrichment), which is an after school program that provides enrichment activities that affect academic, social and emotional development of children. The program also helps to increase student attendance and provides homework assistance and recreational activities to children. The Shasta County Office of Education serves more than 30,000 students in grades kindergarten to 12. It operates an instructional services department that administers a school administrator training program that delivers the knowledge and skills to support teachers and enhance student achievement. The office supports its programs and services in assistance with the California Teachers Association, Office of Public School Construction and Department of Education.
