Utopia Management Inc. have dealt with the letting of my property very well. This was my first time renting a property so I was a little naive but they have helped me through the whole process and made it feel extremely simple. I would use again and again and recommend Utopia Management Inc to all friends/family.
Since I’ve been with Utopia Management I’ve had to “manage” the property on my own. They do not handle tenant requests in a timely manner and I’ve had to call people to take care of simple requests on my own, on multiple occasions, because they do not. I am currently seeking new management for my houses in San Diego because they have been awful to work with. Don’t waste your time with this company. They are a waste of time and money.
They knew exactly what sort of property we wanted and called me up as soon as one that matched our requirements became available. The property was perfect for us and completed the process really quickly so there was no waiting around. they provided a brilliant service for us and I would recommend them to others....
Utopia Management Inc have managed our property for many years now and have always taken a diligent approach to management. They have been particularly good with dealing with the tenants expectations which as we have been overseas for the most part of the management, has been a real help. They're easy to contact and follows up on requests which is key to managing the property effectively.
Having been a client of Utopia Management Inc for nearly 10 years, I have always been happy with their overall service. I have had some challenging tenants and they have always helped with any issues both big and small. I have had limited input in the general running of the property thanks to Utopia Management Inc's dedication and commitment to good customer service.
Utopia Management Inc were very professional and informative during the vetting of potential tenants. I found them easy to contact and always responded quickly and efficiently. One of the team member became the main point of contact and was proactive throughout the process, giving regular feedback to a successful conclusion.
WARNING!!! As a property owner, after cancelling management services from Utopia due to excessive maintenance charges and false charges to my account, and recieving the tenants monthly rent up to a month and a half late (my tenants paid on time!), I haven't received the tenants deposit back into my account... 3 months later, I'm still not getting calls returned, or any of my tenants' deposit funds returned to my acc. They have stolen the tenants money on deposit DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I am a tenant. I had a leaking garbage disposal. I called in to have the leak repaired. There tech Donni called me back that same day and arranged to replace it. He was on time, very professional and friendly. He replaced it with no problems and I'm glad we can use the sink again. Thanks Donni!
I am delighted with the service from Utopia Management Inc and the team. They are quick and efficient are also highly professional. They have found tenants quickly for a number of our properties and are highly effective in getting everything sorted quickly to ensure void periods are as short as possible. I would highly recommend..

I'm a landlord who uses Utopia Management Inc's property management service and have recently been assisting me to recover money from a previous tenant's deposit to fund the work required to get my property back to a suitable state for new tenants. they dealt with this quickly and efficiently and I was very pleased with the eventual outcome. It should be noted that they really went the 'extra mile' by chasing around.
Utopia Management Inc provided excellent service from the initial valuation right to the end. Utopia Management Inc staff were very friendly and easy to deal with. They all kept to their word and were always very efficient. I recommend their service highly and hope to work with them on a regular basis.
my experience with SAMANTHA was a disrespectful one! she had no consideration, took no initiative and there wasn't a full deck of professionalism there during the process either. after the experience i went to research the company MANY bad reviews that i believe they bury in PAID positive reviews.\n\n RESPONSE FROM Utopia Management: \nHello Jessica,\nThank you for your submission. The turn around process for applications is contingent on how quickly the applicant submits all required documentation. Once an application is received we are notified immediately and the process begins. We look for good to great credit, as a household the applicants need to make at least 2.5X's the rent per month (verifiable income), and we will conduct a rental verification. We can have an answer for an applicant within 24 hrs if all necessary documents have been received. \n\nWe received your application 3/17/17 and I sent a follow up email asking you for correct information since your date of birth was entered incorrectly. On Sunday 3/19 partial income verification was sent. The following business day I advised I needed more information to finish your application. I did not hear back from you until 3/21/17. On 3/22/17 I asked for you to give me a call to discuss your application, from what was submitted you did not meet the income or credit qualification for the specific property you were applying to. I requested any additional income to help meet the income requirements. At that time I also advised you I was waiting on your rental verification. When we are processing applications and verifying income, unfortunately a screen shot of a bank statement on a phone will not suffice. I explained that I needed official documents. The documents needed were never received. Unfortunately, we were unable to hold the property, it can not be assumed that the applicant is looking for other forms of income, co-signers, etc, if we do not hear from them. We look  at an applicants applications we a whole, credit, rental verification, and income. Unfortunately, we were unable to approve your application due to your credit and you did not meet our income requirements for this specific property. You were notified of our decision on 3/24/17. A letter was also sent out with more detailed information. I have been renting out my properties with Utopia Management Inc for the last 10 years and have always been pleased with their service and professional approach. They have contacted me immediately to deal with any problems that have arisen and have always rung me back as soon as possible. My experience of using the Guaranteed Rent option at Utopia Management has been great and they offer me a real peace of mind that my property is being well looked after. The team at San Diego branch are all very helpful and knowledgeable in what they do. they are a pleasure to deal with. Very professional but with a friendly approach.
Utopia Management have provided first class professional,informed advice and excellent service to us, as 'new-to-the-game' Landlords. Firstly providing the initial professional expertise in explaining the overview and detail of the key contract issues/options/process for renting. Subsequently,have provided a critical 'back office' service re all the practicalities which follow once a Tenant has been selected.
They did an excellent inspection. and picked up on all the areas of concern and supported me in obtaining payment for the damage from the tenant. They were at the end of an email for all my queries and immediately looked into everything I raised with them... Great Management work :)
They are lazy, rude, and refuse to deal with any issues regarding their property. All they do is make sure they get their rent money. A bunch of illegal activities happened at the property I lived in, and when I reported it to them they brushed me off and ignored the entire situation. The other tenants were awful people, Utopia does not care who they rent to, or the condition of the property. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any property management company.
I had listed my property for a few months before someone recommended them. In a very short timeframe, Utopia Management Inc recommended a tenant from his portfolio of clients and with the minimum of fuss, my apartment was rented out. Very business oriented and a good experience and now hopefully a long term partner.
Due to my circumstances i needed to rent a property by a deadline. I was away for three weeks and they kept in contact with me by e-mail and updated me of the progress every step of the way. When I returned everything was in place for me to move into the property by the deadline date....
When I and my girlfriend were looking to rent a new home we were lucky to meet Utopia Management staff member, the one who listened to our wishes and found the right home for us. She supported us and kept us abreast of all the steps in this regard. It is a person who is pleasant at first glance and eager to help you. We cordially recommend it to all those who need a home! While renting a property in san diego, we have mainly had the pleasure of dealing with one of the staff member, who has been incredible helpful over this year. He is friendly yet professional, reliable and punctual, and has dealt with any queries we have had imminently (even once popping straight in on his way home!). He has made the whole process of renting very smooth and easy - the next leasing agency has definitely got something to live up to!...
Quickly find the tenants for my property. The service is excellent with the agents working really hard to get viewings. They were also very courteous, punctual and friendly. They were happy to offer advice on all rental matters, returned calls promptly and kept me informed of every stage of the process. It makes the whole process of renting out as painless as possible.
