The San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center is a private, nonprofit agency that provides a range of mental health care services for children, adolescents and youths with emotional disorders and mental illnesses. Founded in 1970, the center offers crisis intervention, therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation programs. It conducts health assessments and offers individualized care plans. The center provides case management, vocational and educational support and residential care services for individuals and families. It also offers assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, showering and dressing. The San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center provides individual and group therapies, as well as symptom management, medication monitoring, life skills training and housing assistance services.
