Established in 1907, Catholic Charities CYO is one of the largest nonprofit providers of social services in the San Francisco Bay area. The center offers various services, such as adoption, aging services, children's programs, counseling, family housing, HIV services, the meals on wheels program, youth residential and refugee and immigrant services. It operates the St. Vincent's School for Boys, a licensed, residential treatment home for children and youth of ages 7- to 17-years. The school provides community living environments in which therapeutic, educational and recreational activities can relieve the trauma suffered early in boys' lives. Its therapeutic equestrian program allows boys to care for and ride more than 15 horses that live onsite. Catholic Charities CYO also offers various parish and community services, such as family counseling and therapy, and youth athletics, adult day respite and nourishment and substance abuse recovery programs.
