Designed by renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1936, Hanna House sits nestled high up on a hill on Stanford property. Tours must be booked weeks in advance.

Hanna House boasts a unique hexagonal geometry with no right angles anywhere in the floor plan. Hanna House served as an architectural exploration for the acclaimed architect, and Wright applied techniques from the house in his later works.

Wright designed the house for Stanford professor Paul Hanna and his wife. The Hannas gave the house to Stanford in 1975, after which four Stanford provosts lived there. Hanna House was damaged in the 1989 Loca Prieta earthquake and underwent extensive restoration, finally reopening to the public in 1999.
