Coastal Waters Laboratory

The Coastal and Marine Institute (CMI) is a collaborative consortium based at San Diego State University, uniting researchers, visiting scientists, students, and volunteers to engage in marine science research. Focused on the ecology of urbanized coastal ecosystems, CMI provides unique opportunities for studying local marine communities in San Diego Bay and its surrounding areas.
