Established in 1978, Bio-Path Medical Group is a comprehensive laboratory dedicated exclusively to anatomic and cytologic pathology. Based in Fountain Valley, Calif., the laboratory offers modern technologies available in diagnostic tumor testing and cytology. Licensed and inspected by the state of California, its histology-related services include tissue processing, special stains, immunohistochemistry and embedding/cutting. Its gynecology pathological services comprise conventional slide pap smear and Thin Prep pap test. In addition, the laboratory offers testing for body fluids (pleural, ascitic, cerebral spinal fluid, cul-de-sac, pericardial), brushing (bronchial, colonic, esophageal, gastric), nipple secretion smears, fine needle aspiration, sputum and urine.
