Very overly hyped. The restaurants are pricey and so are the shops. It's pretty packed here. There's lots of cheaper restaurants in the city that have better food. And if you want good souvenirs...

Love this area. Very clean, lots of shops to see, fun things to do. You can see both bridges from 39 and then a short walk to the delicious Ghirardelli center.
