Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum celebrates the life and controversial legacy of the 37th President of the United States. The Yorba Linda venue is filled with fascinating Nixon-related artifacts, documents, and memorabilia –- including materials from the infamous Watergate scandal. It's a great spot for history buffs or anyone remotely curious about Nixon's presidency.

Best and worst time to go to Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
Your best bet is to go on weekdays between September and October, when the weather is pleasant and the grounds aren't too overrun by school field trips. Avoid August, as excessive heat may force some popular exhibits to close.

Must see/do at Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
The house that Nixon was born in is located on the property, on the same spot where it was built by his father. The gravesites of Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon are a few steps from the house. The helicopter that lifted Nixon from The White House the day he resigned is also on permanent display.

Admission to Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
Tickets range from about $5 to $12. Admission is free if you're a museum member.

Parking and public transportation to Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
Parking at the museum is free. The bus is your only real public transportation option, and you'll probably need to figure out multiple routes to get here.

Food at Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
There is a small café here if you want a quick bite. If you want something more substantial, take a 10-minute drive to downtown Brea and explore their happening restaurant scene.

Insider tip for visitors to Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
Nixon's birthplace and the helicopter close a half-hour before the rest of the museum, so make sure you give yourself sufficient time if you want to check out either attraction.
