The Fullerton Joint Union High School District, with its office located in Fullerton, Calif., was founded in 1893. It serves a more than 50 square mile area that includes the districts of Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra and Lowell Joint and operates more than 10 four-year comprehensive high schools, with a total of over 16,000 students. It operates under a superintendent and an elected school education board. The superintendent coordinates the educational program; provides leadership in its development; and is responsible for the management of the schools as authorized by board policy. It provides a wide variety of leadership and supervisory responsibilities in areas that include its curriculum, education programs, assessment and evaluations. It supervises the business services of the district, such as construction and facilities renovation, maintenance and operations, technology, purchases and fiscal services.
