<p>The home of the Pirates, San Leandro High School is the major public high school in the <a href="">San Leandro Unified School District</a> (<a href="">Lincoln High School and Lighthouse Independent Study Center</a> offer alternative and continuing high school education). The school has approximately 2,700 students, who are split between the new Fred T. Korematsu campus for 9th graders and the main campus for 10th through 12th graders.&nbsp;</p> <p>San Leandro High School has three specialized academies: the San Leandro Academy for Multimedia (SLAM), the Social Justice Academy and the Business Academy. The school also offers special education, visual and performing arts and English language development. Students can also take AP classes in more than 10 subject areas and enroll in technical education programs such as computer science, auto mechanics and graphic design.</p> <p>The school publishes an award-winning student journal, <em>The Cargo</em>, and maintains competitive sports teams, while an after-school program provides students with tutoring and enrichment classes. San Leandro High School is also home to the Performing Arts Center and Arts Education Center, which includes a 550-seat theater, photography studios, a sound stage with green screen and digital media classrooms, providing a rich visual and performing arts experience for students.</p> <p>Linda Granger is the school's principal, and Mike Hassett is the associate principal, overseeing the Korematsu campus.&nbsp;</p> <p>San Leandro High's School Accountability Report Card can be accessed <a href="">here</a><a href=""> </a>.&nbsp;</p>
