The Tecate Border crossing appears to have an average wait time of 25 minutes. It is a one lane in and out and appears to have very laced security. I really recommend it over the Tijuana crossing....

HELL NO! You might as well just move there, you're going to spend half your life in line to cross back anyway... literally usually a line at least a mile long, and driving to Otay Mesa / Tijuana...

Twenty years ago, this was my favorite border crossing from Mexico. No more. Don't get me wrong. The CBP officers here are great (the only reason for 2 stars). But there is no SENTRI lane....
