Founded in 1935, Bibliographical Center for Research is a nonprofit, multistate library service cooperative. Located in Aurora, Colo., the library serves more than 1,000 libraries in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Utah. BCR is governed by a board of trustees, representing various libraries, such as academic, school, public, research and special libraries. The library offers an array of services, including OCLC language sets service, reference databases, e-serials management, Internet cataloging, database creation, resource sharing, library and office supplies, accounting and consulting services. Bibliographical Center for Research offers special discounts to its member libraries and regularly organizes educational workshops, distance learning programs, teleconferences and library conferences.
