The Bluebird Theater is mid-sized venue with an intimate feel that hosts a wide variety of nationally touring musical acts. Located on Colfax Ave in the Congress Park neighborhood of Central Denver, the Bluebird is an excellent place to start, or end, a night on the town.

Parking and public transportation at the Bluebird Theater
This section of Colfax Ave is heavily traveled, and parking can be at a premium on show nights. Avoid Adams St, where parking requires a resident permit, and try 14th Ave and 16th Ave for free street parking, or, if you arrive early enough, there is a small lot across the street from the theater. RTD bus route 15 will bring you right to the door, while routes 20, 32 and 40 have stops nearby as well.

Getting tickets at the Bluebird Theater
The Bluebird Theater is owned by AEG Live, a national entertainment company, and online tickets sales are managed through their website. However, tickets can be also be purchased at the box office, as well as at the Ogden Theatre and the Gothic Theatre box offices, which are open on event nights. If you purchase tickets at a box office a day in advance, and pay in cash, you will avoid paying fees of any kind.

Types of concerts at the Bluebird Theater
The theater presents musical acts of many different types, depending on the night. Many nationally touring indie-rock and bluegrass groups perform here, as well as a variety of local acts.

Bars and restaurants abound along Colfax Ave near the Bluebird Theater. If you're looking for even more late-night music, try the Lost Lake Lounge a few blocks east, a comfortably divey bar that features local indie and hard rock bands.

Insider tip for visitors to the Bluebird Theater
After seeing a show, take your ticket stub across the street to Mezcal and get a free taco. While you're there, you can also indulge in one or two of the hundreds of tequilas on the menu.
