Mountain Board of Cooperative Educational Services has educational partnerships with more than 10 school districts and Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colo. It receives and distributes state and federal special education funds and is the primary training source for special education teachers. Its educational video library has more than 3,000 titles for rent-free use by member districts. It employs teachers for the blind and deaf, tutor interpreters and teachers' assistants. Mountain Board of Cooperative Educational Services also provides services that include occupational therapy and audiology. It organizes a standards committee forum where districts share strategies for implementing standards-based education. It provides professional development for teachers through both general initiatives and federal programs. Its human resource department offers personnel forms, handbooks, policies and news about the organization.
