Gilpin County

The Gilpin County Office of the Sheriff is governed by Gilpin County in Colorado. The office maintains a staff of more than 25 sworn personnel and over 15 civilian support employees. Its civil section is responsible for the service of civil papers received by the office. The section also executes court orders involving civil process issued by the courts. The Gilpin County Office of the Sheriff provides concealed weapon permits. The office s records section handles processing, maintaining, retrieving and releasing information and copies of reports in accordance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Its public information officer is responsible for originating and disseminating press releases and other information to the media.
