Work Life Solutions is a program offered by Family Centers, a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County, Conn. More than 1,000 professionals and trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs offered at five centers, providing over 20,000 children, adults, families and communities the care and resources needed. Family Centers' post adoption services offer counseling for adult adopted persons interested reuniting with their birth parents. Services include researching background and medical-genetic information, initiating searches for birth parents and support through the reunion process. Family Centers' counseling and mental health services help individuals, groups, couples and families resolve a wide range of personal and relationship issues, including alcohol and substance abuse. Services are facilitated by trained mental health professionals and provided at licensed and accredited centers located in Greenwich, Stamford and Darien, Conn. Family Centers' HIV/AIDS outreach program is a member of the Ryan White HIV Care Network, which is made up of agencies in the greater Stamford area. Family Centers is a United Way and Community Fund of Darien partner agency, and is a member of the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies and the Alliance for Children and Families. Family Centers is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
