J.M. Wright Technical High School operates several institutions, including one located in Stamford, Conn. It provide a technology-based high school learning environment with a focus on trade and technology and prepares students for postsecondary education, including apprenticeships in more than 10 trade academies and immediate productive employment. Technical courses include automotive technology, electrical, plumbing and heating, and health technology. Its curriculum responds to employers' and industries' work force needs and expectations through a business and school partnership. It offers an exploratory program that allows students to appraise their individual interests, aptitudes, abilities and skills as they explore a variety of vocational opportunities and to gain an understanding of opportunities within each. J.M. Wright Technical High School also offers adult day and evening classes.
