Established in 1985, Waterbury Youth Service System is a nonprofit agency dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in the Greater Waterbury region in Connecticut. It serves more than 4,000 clients annually through a broad spectrum of programs and services that include education, intervention, parenting, prevention, residential, youth development and service coordination. The agency provides the adolescent assertive community treatment program to assist youths in life skills, parenting, and anger and case management. It is supported by grants from city, state and federal agencies, foundations, United Way, and corporate and individual donors. Waterbury Youth Service System operates Rainbow House, a short-term residential home for abused and neglected children. The agency is located in Waterbury, Conn.
