South Woodstock is a census-designated place (CDP) in Woodstock, Windham County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,211 at the 2000 census.

It is notable as the former home of the now-defunct Annhurst College.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.4 square miles (14.0 km2), of which, 5.3 square miles (13.6 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km2) of it (2.96%) is water.
