See a problem? Let us know!
Milton Family Practice has been caring for patients since 1978, and as of June 1, 2011 we have moved to our new location at the Red Mill Center, 16529 Coastal Highway, one mile north of the Nassau Bridge in Lewes, DE, on Coastal Hwy, (RT 1). We now see adult patients 18 and over and are well known for caring for diabetic patients and their many problems. Our two providers are: Charles G. Wagner, M.D. Dr Wagner, a disabled veteran, completed a tour in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and then went to Medical school at Columbia University, graduating in 1974, he completed his residency in surgery at St Lukes Hospital in New York City and has been practicing medicine since 1977. When he first came to Sussex County back in 1978, he worked for Milford Hospital as an Emergency Room Physician. He started Milton Family Practice in 1978, and at one time had offices in Camden, Milford and Milton. But since then has decided to centrilize in the Milton geographical area. Dr. Wagner has been involved in many things, some but not all of his list of accomplishments include: 1. An original founder of Principal Health Services of Delaware. 2. Established many patents in electronics dealing with energy conservation. 3. Awarded a U.S. Department of Energy, National Award for energy innovation in 1985. 4. Invented and awarded patents and grants to produce the Powerkuff Monitor. 5. Established Powerkuff, Inc to produce and sell the “Powerkuff Monitor” which easily, and inexpensively monitors the amount of electricity your home or business uses at any one time. 6. Past President of Milford Chamber of Commerce. 7. 1993 Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Medical Center of Delaware Foundation and Member of the Board of Directors 1993 – 1995 8. President of the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians - 2004-2005. Dr. Wagner, a commercial pilot, also owns a hot air balloon, The Della Bear, and many Delawareans have silently floated across the Sussex County fields and woods with Dr. Wagner as their pilot. You may see the Bear Chaser. No, Dr. Wagner does not chase bears across the country, it is a customized van, outfitted to launch and retrieve Della Bear. Dr Wagner lives in Milford with his wife Patt and their animal family which includes their two English Spaniels, Sarah and Max,a dozen laying hens, and of course their new arrivals, two water buffalo named Thelma and Louise.
