Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School-as per copyright The Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School offers elective programs in English, social studies, science, math, physical education and foreign language. Its courses meet the high school graduation requirements and the certificate of competency guidelines. Located in Newark, Del., the school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. It also offers programs in career areas, such as culinary arts, industrial mechanics, business technology, dental assisting, electrical trades, pre-engineering, plumbing and carpentry. Its industrial mechanics program provides training in multiple craft skills needed to fabricate, repair and maintain mechanical equipment and industrial systems. It offers the fundamentals of pipefitting, welding, power transmission systems, pump systems, pressure vessels, machinery designs and sheet metal fabrication. The Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School also has teams in sports, such as wrestling, soccer, swimming, football, tennis, hockey, cross country and track.
