Like many who now call the Cape Region home, Kim fell in love with all that the area has to offer and moved here from New Jersey in 2019. Kim is excited to join Atracare Healths Pediatrics team as a nurse practitioner and co-founder/director of Atracare Lactation!Kim has a wide variety of clinical experience, including several years in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She deeply relished this stimulating opportunity and found helping those in some of their most challenging moments highly rewarding.In a pursuit for more knowledge and a quest to help those facing a different type of challenge, Kim migrated to maternal-newborn health, spending time in the OB world. Her love for making trialing chapters feel easier for families led her to pursue her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.To support more families with newborns, Kim, along with a dear friend and fellow passionate IBCLC, founded Maternally Yours, a lactation consulting business focused on providing parents a non-judgmental, personalized approach, allowing them to not only meet, but to thrive with their feeding goals. Together with Atracare, this dynamic duo will succeed in helping even more families.

Dr. Albanese received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical training at the University of Maryland Medical Center. During her training, she has rotated through Shock Trauma Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania, Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Trauma Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital. For the past three years, she has been providing Emergency Medical Care for the residents of Sussex County, DE at Beebe Medical. Recognizing the need for increased out-patient healthcare services in Lewes, her plan is to bring a high level of expertise into the community to serve lower acuity patients and reduce healthcare costs for patients.Our Urgent Care Clinic is well equipped to treat patients for virus and bacterial infections, sprains, strains, rashes, bug bites, UTI's, STDs, high fevers, and many of the common issues faced on a daily basis.
