BNP Paribas is a global banking and financial services company. It was created in 2000 through the merger of Banque Nationale de Paris and Paribas. BNP Paribas is one of the largest banks in Europe by market capitalization and total assets. In France, BNP Paribas is active in retail banking with more than 2,200 branches and over 3,200 ATMs. It operates in three business segments that include corporate and investment banking, asset management and services and retail banking.
