Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the world's most realistic space center open to the public. There is so much to do and see at the complex that one day may not be enough time. In addition to marveling at the aircraft displayed at the center, visitors can see first-hand the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and learn about the 30-year history of the Space Shuttle Program.

When to go to the Kennedy Space Center
Watch the news or visit the center's website to learn about events at the space center to experience history in the making. Watch for rocket launchings and special events. Weekdays are the best time to visit to experience the magic of NASA with less crowds.

Must see/do at the Kennedy Space Center

  • Take the bus tour to get a view of the center's many attractions. The bus stops at key points so visitors can touch and feel the exhibitions.
  • The Launch Tour takes you to the control center you're probably seen on TV. There you can feel like you're part of the action of launching a space shuttle.
  • For the cost of a lunch, you can meet an astronaut as he or she shares experiences about being in space. Bring your questions for the Q&A session.

Admission to the Kennedy Space Center
Prices for admission start at about $50, with a discount given to children, seniors and active military. Fees vary based on options selected for your NASA experience.

Parking and public transportation to the Kennedy Space Center
Parking is available onsite for cars, motorcycles and oversized vehicles. Fees apply by category, all under $20. Tour buses are available in Florida, such as the one from Orlando. Check local directories for options.
