11/10/2012 Update on the status of Vortex Spring ownership. The Dockerys are the owners of Vortex Spring and we plan on stay here for the foreseeable future. We are investing a great amount of money in cleaning up the water. So please come back and give us advice on how to make your stay more enjoyably.Dear all past and future visitors of Vortex Spring. My name is Connie Taylor and I was the manager at Vortex Spring 5 years ago when it was the amazing vacation spot you all remember. The resort was sold 5 years ago with great sadness by many involved in the upkeep of the property. The new owner has neglected the property so bad that it is going through a foreclosure sale on the 18th of October. There is a very high probability that the original owners the Dockerys will get the resort back. I am currently working at Vortex Spring trying to repair the damage that has been done. We have repaired the majority of the roads and are endeavoring in efforts to clean the water by removing the algae and under water weeds. I will keep you all up to date on the ownership after the 18th. Please don't write Vortex Spring off as a vacation spot just yet. The old management is back with a vengeance. Our staff is knowledgeable, friendly and ready to help any way possible. We are doing everything in our power to restore in to the treasure it once was. Thank you all.
