Athens First United Methodist Church is a religious facility that offers worship services. It operates a recreation department that provides fitness and dance classes, as well as various sports activities. The church also operates an outreach ministry that conducts Bible study sessions. Athens First United Methodist Church s adult ministry has a senior fun group that serves individuals aged 55 and older. It additionally operates Weekday Preschool, which offers a range of motor skills development activities. The church s college ministry serves more than 1,500 international students. The church conducts several mission trips, fellowship outings and summer camps. Athens First United Methodist Church offers nursery care services for infants and children.

Lifespan strives to embody Montessori ideology in the early education of our students. Hands-on approaches are used to care for the environment by tending to live plants and animals, recycling, composting, and resource conservation. Youth enrichment programs are centered on the arts and the celebration of various cultures. Above all, our mission is to encourage students to care for each other.
