The Moultrie Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects residents lives and their property and safeguards individual rights and community values. It is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The department operates a communication center that responds to calls and provides emergency police, fire and medical services. The Moultrie Police Department employs a staff of more than 45 full-time, sworn officers, civilians and volunteers. It organizes a variety of public service programs, including house and business watch, neighborhood crime prevention and department tours, as well as ride along programs. The Moultrie Police Department offers services for animal control, fingerprinting, gun permits and vehicle registration.
