Since the 1830s Fairbanks Company has manufactured a variety of industrial products, including casters, wheels, table trucks, platform trucks, hand trucks and dollies. The company s 200,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities use heat treating, robotic welding, electrostatic epoxy powder coating, stamping, metal forming and both hot and cold forging. Its products are sold primarily to distributors, national catalog houses and original equipment manufacturers. The company also manufactures its own line of competitively priced hand trucks, dollies and casters, which it sells under the Value Line name. In 1887 Fairbanks Company moved its headquarters to Rome, Ga. A decade later it developed a national distribution system that it uses to this day.
