Schnitzer Southeast is one of the largest metal recyclers in the United States. It annually processes more than 1-billion pounds of material. Schnitzer Southeast also provides wire chopping, demolition, on-site industrial scrap management programs and cast breaking. It buys aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel, insulated wire and all grades of ferrous material. Schnitzer Southeast is able to provide rolling stock equipment including self-dumping hoppers for in-plant use, lugger boxes, roll-off containers, steel-sided trailers and mobile cranes, shears and balers.
