Founded in 1956, H.V. Jenkins High School enrolls more than 1,600 students in grades nine through 12. The school offers instruction in various subjects that include English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, technical education, computer science, fine arts, health and physical education. It also offers advanced placement courses in English literature and composition, chemistry, American history, and government and politics. The school offers various sports programs, including football, cheerleading, basketball, wrestling, baseball, soccer, volleyball, softball, tennis, golf and athletics. Located in Savannah, Ga., the school operates under the guidelines set by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. H.V. Jenkins High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
