The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits. The restaurant serves specialty dishes, such as Bert's chili, Walt s soup, Alice s iced tea and Lib's patty melt. It offers hash browns in eight different ways. Waffle House serves more than 3 million pounds of grits each year and over 10,000 T-bone steaks each day. Apart from serving food, the restaurant supports various health and human service organizations, youth and education programs, and disadvantage and other civic causes. It conducts in-house events and programs, such as The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-off and the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship.

Ordered take out 5+ times. Not once has my order been correct. Figure it out, it's not that hard to pit the correct toppings on hash browns. I am allergic to mushrooms and have received mushrooms...

This was an awesome experience! Clean, efficient and excellent customer service from our waiter, Bryan! So polite and attentive! Definitely management material! Food was great too! lol

E X P E R I E N C E We came on a Saturday at 1:30pm as a couple. There were two other couples in the restaurant. We ordered two all stars. The food came out in a timely manner, very quickly....

My mother had just walk in with friends from work to eat. She hadn't even sat down. Then comes one of the guys saying that she can't have her water and half coke from outside. It's too bad she did...
