Founded in 1965, Hawai'i Pacific University is an international learning community and is one of the largest private universities in the United States. Based in Kaneohe, Hawaii, the university has more than 8,000 students from all 50 states in the United States and more than 100 countries. The university has 22 schools, offering 78 undergraduate programs, 43 graduate programs, Military Campus program (MCP), distance education opportunity and one doctoral program. Its ELS Language Center provides intensive English training, semi-intensive English training and the American Explorer program. Additionally, Hawai'i Pacific University provides athletic program, including tennis, basketball, baseball and golf, among others. Its facilities include multimedia classrooms, nursing and communication laboratories, and computer laboratories.
