Conrad is a city in Grundy County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,055 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is also known as the black dirt capital of the world and has an annual celebration to celebrate its fertile soil.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km²), all of it land.
