New Douglas is a village in Madison County, Illinois, United States. The population was 369 at the 2000 census. It is a community that was centered around the local coal mines and farming in the early 1900s. When need for coal dropped in the 1950s the town fell back on its farming roots. Mostly farming of corn and soy beans. The current residing mayor is George Grindstaff. It is also the hometown of popular disc jockey DJ HaVok also know by his given name Tim Brazel and formally know as DJ DB-1.
New Douglas is located at 38°58′12″N 89°40′3″W / 38.97°N 89.6675°W / 38.97; -89.6675 (38.970100, -89.667426).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km²), all of it land.
