Ridge Farm, IL
Ridge Farm is a village in Elwood Township, Vermilion County, Illinois, United States. It is part of the 'Danville, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The population was 912 at the 2000 census.
The town of Ridge Farm was named after Abraham Smith's Ridge Farm, located on a ridge of land running east to west through Elwood Township. The post office was established on May 17, 1841.
Ridge Farm is located at 39°53′49″N 87°39′9″W / 39.89694°N 87.6525°W / 39.89694; -87.6525 (39.896836, -87.652588). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.1 km²), all of it land.
