Lake County Forest Preserves works with various nonprofit organizations, natural resource agencies, county governments and museum associations and provides land preservation services. Located in Wauconda, Ill., the organization also offers rental opportunities for weddings, community events, corporate meetings and birthday parties. Lake County Forest Preserves has several facilities that offer a variety of recreational activities, as well as history and nature education programs for schools and community groups. The organization undertakes various restoration projects and has been serving the state since 1961. Lake County Forest Preserves organizes art exhibitions and several other events. Its list of affiliates includes CorLands, Audubon International and Bat Conservation International.
