UIC–Halsted opened in 1958 as one of the new stations on the Congress Line on the median of the Congress Street Super Highway which replaced the Garfield Park elevated line that used to run along an alley in the right of way that is now on the present Eisehhower Expressway.

Grotty, suspicious activity, pee stains everywhere, wouldn't recommend getting off at this station.

CTA stop located near the Medical District - right near Rush hospital. There is not much to write here. Average every day blue line stop.
